![]() LOLĪlso, as you can't, yet, find the Commander directly here in Wowhead, I did find his link through the other quests, and included it in this summary.Ĭheck the list of quest for SFK now - it appears all the classes now have level 20 weapon quests, in SFK.Īlso, it seems that you can speak with Deathstalker Commander Belmont outside SFK, to get other SFK quests for the Horde. Repeat this until you can take the boss down.Comment by FeyGyrlFor anyone doing the druid weapon quest in 4.0.3.I figured I'd post this here, too, to maximize on my research time for everyone. You can time a jump down to get your chance at free damage if all the ghouls die fast enough. His adds will now chase you up the stairs and most of the time get killed by Godfrey’s cone AoE. Yes, you get hit even upstairs if you stand in the direction of his attack. Afterwards he will cast pistol barrage in front of him so I run up the stairs and even carry on up to the left so that I won’t stand in the cone. That’s basically his “tank spot.” When he summons minions I prepare myself for movement and thusly heal up. The first forsaken soldier’s corpse to the right of the stairs is where I will have Godfrey standing. So the strategy involves some movement and placement, but I do want to reveal that the fight is doable without my strat, I just feel the most comfortable executing in the following way: Make sure you got a mana pot, you may need it. ![]() In addition to that he deals decent damage and curses you for even more notable damage over time, forcing you to heal even more often than any other boss before. Godfrey deals massive damage over time through pistol barrage and summons ghoul minions to fight you. I had to develop a strategy to do this and I already did that back in MoP I think? Back then I was streaming it so I will link the twitch VoD to the end of the section. He uses some abilities but one of them is totally avoidable and the rest of them didn’t really seem too heavy on me. This guy is more of an “easy peasy” encounter. The Arced War Axe would serve me for at least 2 dungeons to come if I didn’t get even more lucky at the end of the run. I got one of two blue weapon drops at this boss. Together with the AoE down he actually bursted me to death after badly timed heals! Also he has a melee ability that hits like a truck. Timing your escape with heals is key here so be prepared for this. In addition to spreading a notably large AoE right under your both’s feet, it slows you. This guy is also on the more difficult encounters list. Got this ring which is really great for a soloing character because it promotes almost purely survival through increased HP and faster and bigger healing. I’m not sure whether you can kill the second add without bubble on a lower level but I was level 24 at the time so nuking the boss seemed like the best option. When he spawned the second add I just kept nuking the boss and I must admit the fight got close. They got around 4k health so you should be able to frag them before or soon after your bubble is lost.Īfter this just fight the boss normally. Once the add is up, pop bubble and nuke the add with all you got. Keep an eye on the spawning add and save up your cooldowns for maximum burst effect to come. You fight him normally until he spawns his add. My strategy for Baron Silverlaine is very simple. I got to update my weapon two more times through this run though! This is a case where I would usually give a VoD but due to technical issues and/or noobness on my own part, no VoD.Īlso I got a green upgrade to my sword from the Tranquillien Flameberge to this: It’s been fixed for some reason, but that’s exactly what made this fight notably harder. In addition to this he summons adds, some times more than just one! There used to be a trick where you could just run yourself and the boss away from the spawning adds and avoid ever having to fight them. Silverlaine occasionally reduces your healing intake and deals moderate damage so his difficulty scales higher and higher the lower your level is to a good effect. This is where the challenge began for me. So basically the lower your level the bigger your chance to actually fail here. This guy simply slaps you, shoots a beam at you and eventually forces you to 1 HP only to heal you up to 50% HP again. I must say that SFK was the first dungeon to show a little challenge early on.Īnd no, this is not where the challenge begins. However, it is generally a good idea to level your professions between every dungeon. ![]() There were no real preparations at the start of the dungeon. Also as a relating topic, in the future I will only post kill VoDs if there was a strategy to demonstrate or the boss felt specificly difficult. Before I start I will announce that this post will be missing all VoDs except for the final boss. Hello and welcome to my walkthrough of Shadowfang Keep as a paladin, solo.
